Max Collie FAQ: Preschool Marketing Questions, Answered
Answers about Max Collie, the morning-report marketing assistant for independent preschools, and about tracking tours, ads, inquiries and follow-up.
About Max Collie
What is Max Collie?
Max Collie is a marketing assistant for independent preschools and childcare centers. Each morning Max sends one short email with tours booked and held, where each family came from, and ad spend against your budget, plus drafted follow-ups for your review.
What does the morning report include?
Tours booked and held, the source of each family (ad, listing, referral), ad spend against budget, and any alarms, such as tracking that stopped recording or spend running over. Once a month, Max adds a plan with three recommended moves.
Does Max change my ads or send messages to families?
No. Max has read-only access. Max never changes your ads, never posts, and never sends anything without your OK. Drafted follow-ups and review replies are labeled as drafts for you to edit and send.
What tools do I need?
Google Ads or Meta ads, a booking tool such as Calendly or your CRM's tour form, and a Google Business Profile. Nothing to install and nothing new for your staff to learn.
Does Max replace my CRM or my agency?
No. Max works alongside your childcare CRM and your agency. It reads from the tools you already use and gives you one plain-English view across them.
What happens to my families' data?
Max reads counts and sources to build your report. To draft a follow-up, Max reads that one inquiry; drafts are kept for 30 days, then deleted. Max never sells or shares data, never trains AI models on your families' information, and never contacts families itself.
How much does Max Collie cost?
The founding pilot, for 3 centers, is $1,000 setup plus $300 a month for the first 2 months, then $750 a month, locked for founding centers for 12 months. It's month-to-month and you can cancel anytime. See pricing.
Is there a guarantee?
Yes. In week 1, Max records the share of your tours with a known source. If by day 60 that share hasn't doubled, or reached 50%, whichever is lower, your setup fee is refunded in full. Cancel in the first 14 days and you get everything back. Max does not promise tour or enrollment numbers.
Who built Max Collie?
Max was built by the owner of a two-campus preschool, for his own school first. At that school, the share of tours with a known source went from 3% to 34% in about 3 weeks after setup. Results from one school (the founder's own); your numbers will differ.
How do I get started?
Apply for a founding spot (about 5 minutes, no call needed). If accepted, you fill in a 15-minute setup form and send read-only invites, and your first morning report arrives within 5 business days.
About preschool marketing
How can a preschool tell which marketing brings in tours?
Tag links with UTM parameters, make sure your booking tool stores them, ask every family how they heard about you, and track calls. See the full guide.
Why do daycare Google Ads seem not to work?
Often the conversion tracking is broken, so Google can't see tours that are really happening. Check conversion statuses and book a test tour. See the checklist.
How fast should a childcare center reply to inquiries?
Aim for within an hour during business hours and by the next morning otherwise, with a direct tour-booking link. See reply templates.
How should a preschool follow up after a tour?
A same-day thank-you, answers within two days, a one-week check-in, and a note timed to the family's start date. See the sequence.
What numbers should a preschool owner check each week?
About ten: inquiries, response time, tours booked and held, applications, enrollments, known-source share, ad spend, tracking status and reviews. See the free template.
